Join us for an uplifting afternoon with Heidi Alina! Drum class will be held from 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., followed by a percussive dance class--also known as dunun dance or tambour dance-- from 4:30- 6:00 p.m.
Attend one or both classes for only $20!
Dunun Dance/Percussive Dance involves movement and choreography that is accentuated by strikes on an upright dunun. Whether you are a drummer or dancer, it will be fun for you!
Heidi will teach percussive dance steps that correspond with a traditional Guinean rhythm. We will have dunun available for use. If you are able, please bring a pair of sticks and a larger dunun (preferably no kenkenis because of their small size).
