About this Event
JOIN us for a free community screening of a compelling new film which reveals how the UK is being affected by global climate change - now and in the near future.
Featuring evidence from scientists and other leading UK experts, the People’s Emergency Briefing demonstrates the serious threats climate change presents and offers credible, positive ways to respond.
The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4, and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK. It shows how a de-stabilised climate threatens our economy, the nation’s health and security, and will push up food and energy prices.
The National Emergency Briefing is a non-partisan project aimed at informing the general public on the latest situation related to climate change, and has support from a wide range of organisations, including the Royal Meteorological Society, Church of England, WWF and National Trust.
The screening, one of many across the UK, will be followed by a guided discussion with the audience. It is being organised by a coalition of local environment groups.
Tickets are free but places are limited so please book in advance.
