About this Event
Date: Monday 11 May 2026
Time: 1:00 pm
Location: University of Strathclyde, Learning & Teaching Building, 16 Richmond St — Room TL455
Part of: Glasgow’s Climate Week (organised by Univeristy of Strathclyde Green Office)
Join us for a free community screening of People’s Emergency Briefing, a 45‑minute documentary that presents the latest evidence on climate and nature breakdown in the UK and what it means for everyday life from extreme weather and food security to health and the cost of living. The screening will be followed by a facilitated panel discussion with academics from the University and invited community partners.
Why attend:
- To feel informed and optimistic about climate change.
- Learn evidence‑based accounts of the threats we face while also highlighting the enormous benefits that genuine emergency action could bring.
- Discuss practical responses for our community with university academics and partners.
- Connect with neighbours and organisations working on climate action.
Bring a friend, neighbour, or family member. Everyone is welcome. We look forward to an informed and hopeful conversation about what urgent action could mean for our community.
