A ninety minute exploration of people powered democracy and what it means to be 'doing democracy ourselves'.
* Imagining, feeling and sensing into what people powered democracy could look like
* Learning/sharing our experience about methods of participatory democracy and Citizens' Assemblies - a growing movement around the world - and our plans here in Stroud.
* Exploring our relationships to power and agency
* Deliberating on a local topic of shared interest
All welcome, whether with or without any knowledge or experience of local democracy.
Curiosity and interest in wanting to be part of imagining a different tomorrow!
This event is part of Reimaging Stroud's Tomorrow, a programme of activities and events for people across Stroud District designed to transform our imaginative ideas for a positive, sustainable and connected Stroud into reality.
There will be a number of free and family friendly activities and workshops taking place outside the Subrooms between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 28th Sept.
