Spend the last night of the convention at VU rooftop across from McCormick Place celebrating with Economic Security Project, Unrig our Economy and some special guests for food, cocktails, and the opportunity to forge deeper connections, share innovative ideas, and recommit to the work that lies ahead.
Unrig Our Economy is a campaign to fix the rules of our economy to make it work for working people. Corporations and the wealthy have manipulated the economy and tax code to their advantage, raising prices and suppressing wages, leaving leaders with a choice between supporting the elite or fighting for working Americans. Unrig is fighting for working Americans and holding corporations, their wealthy executives, and the politicians who enable them accountable.
: Economic Security Project Action(ESPA) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for ideas that build economic power for all Americans. ESPA legitimizes bold ideas by supporting cutting edge research and elevating champions, win concrete policy victories for the communities that need to see change now, and provoke the conventional wisdom to shift what’s considered possible. Their team of academics, organizers, practitioners and culture makers disburse grants, run issue campaigns, develop creative interventions and research products, and convene to encourage investment and action from others.
Unrig Our Economy and Economic Security Project Action are 501(c)(4) nonprofit corporations. This is an issue-advocacy event, not a political event. Attendees should refrain from soliciting contributions for any candidate or party; advocating the nomination, election, or defeat of any candidate; or discussing the candidacy, campaign, or opponent of an officeholder. This event has been designed as a reception under the federal Congressional and Executive Branch gift rules.
