What? Is it that time of year Already?? As we're winding down to the end of the season, we are opening our gates to new dancers and musicians. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm to do your best and have a lot of fun while doing it! We're looking for all kinds of musicians, melody, rhythm, percussion.... Our band is evolving and we'd love people with all kinds of experience, whether you've been practicing at home and want to take the next step towards performing publicly or you're a seasoned pro looking to perform more regularly.
We practice through the winter months with the occasional public display to shake off the cobwebs. In the summer we play a mixture of relaxed pub sets and festivals in Cornwall and sometimes Devon too. This season we danced Montol, Trevithick Day, Polperro Festival, Cadgwith Folk Day, Mazey & Quay Fair Day, Cornwall Folk Festival and will be dancing at St Ives Festival next week to name just a few!
Our kit is informal, black, white & gold, whatever falls out of your cupboard. 2nd hand & Tatters encouraged. We just wear comfy civvies for practice though!
