Sharpen your skills—It’s Pencil Fight Season!It’s Back to School time, and that means the Tampa City Athletic Association is bringing back the most ridiculous, high-energy showdown of the season: PENCIL FIGHT! All proceeds go to support a deserving local educator—this year’s champion of the classroom is Rita Landell, a 21-year Hillsborough County teaching veteran, USF grad, and kindergarten hero. Your chaos funds her classroom needs—from flexible seating and sensory tools to science and STEM gear.
Expect big hits, big music, big pageantry, and even bigger fun as past champions return to defend their titles, old rivals reignite their beef, and newcomers take a swing at eternal glory (and a pretty sweet trophy). Come in costume—there’s a prize for the best dressed—and bring cash for the 50/50 raffle.
