When it isn't functioning optimally, the result may be urinary/fecal incontinence, pelvic prolapse or pain. From the yogic perspective, the pelvic floor is literally and energetically our foundation, how we "contain" our life force and move confidently in the world.
Join Tara and Erica for an engaging discussion on the pelvic floor from the Yoga philosophy and modern physical therapy perspectives. Practice accessible movement, breathing and relaxation techniques that can be easily done at home. Benefits include: decreased pelvic pain / incontinence, hip/low back pain; increased neuromuscular control, mindfulness, stability and ease.
