March: Junk Journal Folio Workshop
Overview:
This hands-on workshop will guide you through the process of creating, decorating, and using your own junk journal folio –made from a single manila file folder. Junk journal folios are a great way to collect and organize your favorite bits of ephemera like tags, stickers, journal cards, etc. This clever and creative project makes an excellent gift for a crafty friend or a handy place to store your favorite treasures.
What You'll Learn:
How to measure and cut a file folder into a folio structure
Techniques for decorating and embellishing your folio
Techniques for creating your own ephemera, including tags, journal cards, and clips
Materials:
The cost of the workshop includes a starter kit featuring a manila file folder, a variety of decorative papers such as old book pages, maps, and magazine clippings, fabric scraps, ribbons, and other embellishments
The instructor will also provide the following:
Adhesives (glue, glue stick, tape, washi tape)
Scissors & cutting tools (punches, craft knives)
Rulers
Pens, pencils, markers
Cost: $25 per person
