March 19th 6:00PM - 7:30PMWelcome to the Pelican Park Nature Book Club!
We meet once a month to discuss a book related to the natural world. Our next meeting will be at Northlake Nature Center on March 19th at 6:00 PM around a campfire at the outdoor amphitheater. We will discuss "Looking for Longleaf: The Rise and Fall of an American Forest" by Lawrence Early.
You may bring a book for us to vote on to read for April's meeting.
Please bring a chair; we have flashlights available for the evening.
This event will be moved to an alternate location if the forecasted temperature is below 40 degrees, or if there is rain in the forecast. The decision to relocate will be made by 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 18th. All participants will be notified via email of cancellation. The alternate location is PJ's Coffee at 4520 Highway 22 in Mandeville.
Accessibility: The parking lot of the Northlake Nature Center is gravel, and there is a portalet for restrooms. The path leading to the outdoor amphitheater from the parking lot is a ground-level boardwalk followed by maintained brick.
