About this Event
C-DRUM's Peer Mediation Coordinator Training is a two-day session (January 22 & 23) designed for Maryland educators planning to launch or lead a peer mediation program in their elementary, middle, or high school. This can include school counselors, social workers, teachers, administrators, student support staff, coaches, and more.
This course provides attendees with the a complete implementation guide and manual to train mediators and administer your own peer mediation program within a framework of restorative approaches. While the course is primarily for those new to peer mediation, seasoned peer mediation advisors can gain new restorative approaches insights and skills as well.
For long-term program stability, C-DRUM recommends schools send at least two- person teams so they can train and support the peer mediation program in their schools. Each attendee will receive training materials for creating and administering peer mediation programs and conducting school peer mediation trainings.
Please note attendance for the entirety of both days is mandatory. If one member of your team cannot commit to both days, please consider sending another member who can. If the registered individual needs to cancel, an alternate can attend. In this case, please notify us at [email protected].
