Pearls and the ArtDeco

Let Frances take you on a journey of her extensive knowledge of Pearls and Art Deco Jewellery Designers

…and perhaps treat yourself to some beautiful jewellery!

This talk weaves Frances’ recent life in rural France, where she collected many items of Art Deco jewellery and researched how to restore them, together with her extensive knowledge of pearls and their history and science. She will bring beautiful Art Deco jewellery, many pieces of which she found in France. The talk features the most celebrated jewellery designers of the Art Deco period and how they created extraordinary faux pearls.

The talk is illustrated by handling many pearls, both faux and real, and Art Deco beads with advice on how to identify and look after them.

Following the talk there wil be a delicous cream tea

Frances will be selling a wide range of pearl & Art Deco items including, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, & brooches. Plus, unique vintage items of fine jewellery for sale with proceeds toFrances' nominated charity.
