The Newport Studio holds portrait events by our resident photographer (@GenitoPhoto) to offer professional portraits at an accessible price!
The Newport Studio invites you to get portraits taken by our resident photographer (@GenitoPhoto)! This event's theme is inspired by Peaky Blinders (or any early century mobsters style).
Our set up for this event will be a dramatic spotlight for that cinematic look. Choose between a period-appropriate scenic backdrop or textured fabric in a neutral color. We'll be bringing the fog in a can and fake puff cigarettes for some extra effect!
Come dressed as your interpretation of early century mobster! Think peaky caps and fedoras, sweaping coats and well-tailored suits, pinstripes and pocket watches--get creative! Feel free to nab some styling tips from the Shelby brothers, or from your favorite mobsters in Sinners, Boardwalk Empire, The Untouchables, whatever old-timey crime syndicate floats your boat!
Tickets include:
- One 10-minute timed slot
- 2 images to be edited & delivered
- a mini Polaroid snapshot to take home
- One costume per slot / limit 2 slots per person
- Proofs sent within one week (unedited drafts to make selections from)
- Additional images are $20 per photo
- No raw images will be delivered for downloading/sharing
- Estimated deliviery of final/edited images is 6-8 weeks.
Please be sure that the email you register with is active, as this is how you will receive your proofs/photos.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your reserved slot to check in, or sooner for any last minute touch-ups/dressing. Access to the theater's dressing room (with mirrors) is provided, as well as single stall bathrooms for a more private changing space.
You will be asked to fill out a digital release waiver, which will ask for consent to your photos being shared on the photographer's business sites, and your general information. The waiver will include the agreement to not sell these images or heavily alter them without prior written consent from the photographer.
PLEASE BE ADVISED: We do not allow any loose glitter, fire spinning, or other messy substances to be used in the studio, even for this event.

Access to The Newport Studio is a up a flight of marble stairs with no elevator. Please email us ahead of time if you need assistance, as we can now offer a chair lift to better access our space.
