Peace Movement - Full Moon DanceSunday, February 16th

Join us for a special Peace Movement Dance in the beautiful rotunda of the Utah State Capitol! Together, we will move with and for peace, embodying our hopes and dreams through dance and meditation in the very place where key decisions for our state are made.
At this moment in time, each of us holds unique wishes, dreams, and priorities for our country, community, and our own lives. Let’s come together during the legislative session to offer our movement as medicine, trusting the wisdom of our bodies as we cultivate peace, integrity, and intention.
Bring your prayers, good will, and whole-hearted presence to this special gathering. Together, we can move through anything. May this dance be a wellspring of healing, grace, and kindness that infuses the legislative session and beyond.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Our access to the space is strictly limited to this time frame so please allow extra time to park and get into the Rotunda.
WHERE: Utah State Capitol Rotunda
• Parking is available on the street, in the east lot, or southeast lot.
• Enter through the east doors (near the lion statues), go up the stairs to the right, and enter the main open rotunda space.
WHO: This movement event is for everyone. Please spread the word, we'd love to share this unique opportunity and have a lot of dancers in that big, beautiful space.
MUSIC: Earthy, global beats
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Hearing-safe volume levels of music
No prior experience needed—newcomers welcome!
Light facilitation, with plenty of time for free-form dance
Silent movement space—please honor the flow of the experience
WHAT TO BRING:
A water bottle (with water only) – refilling stations available
Comfortable, layered clothing for movement
COST:
This is a free speech event, and access to the Capitol space is granted at no cost. However, donations to the Women’s Full Moon Circle are always welcome to help sustain these gatherings.

The Women’s Full Moon Dance is a community of passionate movers who gather on the Saturday closest to the full moon to enjoy the healing power of movement and reconnect with body and spirit. We also host occasional seasonal gatherings open to all––usually on solstices and equinoxes.
