All men and women are invited to Peace Women in Mission's (PWIM) one-day retreat, “Jonah,” 8:30am-3pm Saturday, March 21, in Adams Campus (church) downstairs parlor. No matter how bad things get … they can always get worse. Such is the story of Jonah, a good Jewish prophet who suddenly goes on the run. One bad choice leads to another as Jonah encounters a terrible storm, an enormous fish, a wicked empire, a tiny worm, a mighty wind, and the greatest revival in history! In this amazing story of extremes, God reveals His extreme love and mercy for all people.
During the retreat, participants will view segments of the widescreen film “Jonah,” which was recorded at the Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There will be an introduction to each segment, followed by breakout sessions. The retreat cost is $6 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. RSVP by March 16 to Nancy Salvner at 737.8689 or [email protected]. Please consider attending for a time of encouragement!
