It’s the time of year again to start readying our hearts and minds to prepare to celebrate the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus as a baby in a manger. As women of Peace, we start out this wonderfully blessed season with our annual Advent by Candlelight event. This year’s event is 5:30pm Friday, Dec. 5, in the church (Adams Campus) gym.All women of Peace and friends are invited. You can attend as a guest at a hostess’ table, host a table for eight guests or more yourself, or contact us for placement if you don’t have a full table. We will have a spot for you!
Each hostess provides the food for their own tables. It can be anything you want – from a casserole and salad, to a charcuterie board and fruit, to takeout KFC. All guests who are not bringing food for the meal are asked to bring two dozen homemade or bakery cookies for the cookie walk.
To host a table, please contact Emily Kast at 791.4172 or [email protected] by Monday, Nov. 24, to sign up. This year’s entertainment is provided by Sam Beal, Peace teacher and Assistant Director of Modern Worship, and the Peace Modern Worship Team.
The gym will be available starting at 1pm Friday, Dec. 5, to decorate your table. Decorate with tablecloth, place settings and centerpiece, and use only battery-operated candles.
After the dinner in the gym and the celebration in the sanctuary, we will have the cookie walk. You may choose a variety of cookies at $5 per dozen. This money will pay for scholarships for the women’s retreat Feb. 20-22, 2026. Please join us for this incredibly special evening!
