Join Us for Our Annual Seed Library Kickoff! We’re excited to welcome patrons of all ages back for another season of growing, sharing, and learning. This year’s kickoff will feature a special presentation by Dedko’s Bees, who will offer an engaging program on pollinators, the vital role they play in our ecosystems, and what we can do to support them.
Pollinators are essential to food production, as nearly 1/3 of our food supply depends on their efforts. They are in need of our support, as they are threatened by loss of habitat, loss of forage environment and pesticide use. A discussion focused on habitat creation and preservation will be presented.
As an added bonus, all attendees will be entered for a chance to win a pollinator bee house (a home for solitary-nesting bees) to support beneficial insects in their own gardens.
