Fancy learning about foraging? 🤔So here it is, my first Pay As You Feel session of the year! I've decided this year I'm going to do them seasonally rather than monthly and also to make the sessions a bit longer so we can cover more!
For the first one we will be focusing on Spring Foraging! This will definitely include wild garlic and invasive leeks and hopefully some other mushroom and plant finds along the way.
We will be foraging safely and sustainably and spreading ourselves out so as not to cause damage to the area. We will also pick litter as we go and leave the place a bit nicer than when we found it!
The walk itself is less than 1 mile but there may be some challenging terrain if it's wet. If you want to chat more about it do get in touch.
You are welcome to bring a small bag, basket or tub for your foraged finds. A regular fork (the kind you eat with) can also be helpful for this particular forage too. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
Children are very welcome to join with an adult and dogs are welcome too.
We meet at the BMX track in the middle of the park, it's clearly visible on Google maps and the closest entrance is Alwyn Road. There's on street parking available and a bus stop nearby.
Unfortunately there are no facilities at this park so it's a wild wee if you need one. Please bring a drink/snack if you want to.
The suggested contribution is £10pp and kids come free but it's just a suggestion. Anything is appreciated including high fives and handshakes. I also accept non-monetary payment like handmade goodies.
NO NEED TO BOOK, JUST TURN UP!
