Join us for a book signing and live conversation celebrating Pawn Takes Rook: Urban Mosaic Pedagogy.

Hosted at CratesATL, this afternoon gathering sits at the intersection of culture, education, and Hip Hop, featuring a dynamic conversation between author and educator Dr. André Benito Mountain and special guest Luey Price. Together, they will explore writing, creativity, and the ways Hip Hop continues to shape learning, identity, and community.

The conversation will be complemented by live performances from Luey Price, featuring selections from his catalog that echo the themes of voice, resilience, and transformation found throughout Pawn Takes Rook.

This event also celebrates Black entrepreneurship and creative ownership, as we come together to support CratesATL, Luey Price, and the release of Pawn Takes Rook by educator and author Dr. André Benito Mountain.
