Roozengaarde charges $15 for a weekday entry ticket which includes free parking if you purchase in advance. The ticket can be used on any weekday. If you pay at the door it is $17.
Meeting location, date, and time:
I will be by the windmill between 9AM and 10AM wearing a light Blue Jacket. Folks may spread out as soon as they arrive to any location.
Lunch plans:
There are picnic tables and you can bring your own lunch. They also have food concessions- generally hotdogs, burgers and kettle corn.
End of day plan:
Folks may spontaneously meet up in groups for dinner at a restaurant afterwards.
Directions:
From I-5
Take the Kincaid Street exit (#226), go west on Kincaid. At the first stoplight after the railroad tracks, take a right. Go straight through 2 stoplights and over the Division Street Bridge. Continue to the first stoplight after the bridge, taking a left at the light onto Wall Street. Wall Street makes a quick right turn and becomes McLean Road. Continue down McLean Road about 3 miles. Make a left at the grocery store onto Beaver Marsh Road. We are 1/4 mile down the road on the left. Look for the garden and windmill!
For those coming from the West
(Anacortes/Whidbey Island area), take Highway 20 East. Turn Right at the stoplight at the Farmhouse Inn onto LaConner-Whitney Road. Turn Left onto McLean Road and follow it several miles, turning Right onto Beaver Marsh Road (grocery store on corner). We are 1/4 mile down the road on the left. Look for the garden and windmill!
Other notes about this event:
Free parking at the lot across from RoozenGaarde. Be prepared to follow the parking flaggers directions.They accept cash for entry tickets onsite but there may be a line to get in. You can purchase tickets in advance off their tulip info website.
