About this Event
PAVUK is a collective art installation and performance featuring work by Dark Bob, Ryan Zin, Leilani Atkinson, Oleg Ivlev, Liza Holitsyna, Lali Bell, Yelyzaveta Churilkina, Cally Lindle, and Natalie Kato, with live performance by LA MUDPEOPLE, Alina Kalinouskaya, and Lali Bell.
Built around the creation of a traditional Ukrainian Pavuk (Eng. Spider), the project takes the form of a suspended straw structure symbolizing cosmic balance, protection, and the interconnectedness of human life. Conceived as a benefit art event for the people of Ukraine, PAVUK brings together visual art, performance, and collective authorship across borders.
The project will be held at the 18th Street Art Center, Santa Monica, CA on February 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. The event will also be live-streamed at pavuk.live.
The installation will be activated by the legendary Los Angeles collective LA MUDPEOPLE, whose live intervention will “mud everything together."
The installation will be accompanied by a durational rope-suspension performance project-creator by Alina Kalinouskaya, who moves within the structure as a living axis, with live guitar performances by Lali Bell.
PAVUK is conceived as both a memorial and an urgent reminder of the ongoing humanitarian and political crisis in Ukraine. During the event, visitors are encouraged to donate directly to the Prytula Foundation, supporting its Light of Ukrainian Hope Emergency Response Program; proceeds from project-related NFT sales will also be donated.
Michael J. Masucci and Olena Yara co-created the project with Alina Kalinouskaya and serve as co-curators of the installation and performance.
