Learn secular meditation, movement, and acting techniques to create a peaceful home within yourself
About this Event
Imagine feeling an inner ease and lightness wherever you go, regardless of the chaos around you. That is inner peace. And you have the power to bring this peace back into your life.

Inner peace often seems like an elusive reward, something we get only after we accomplish our big life goals or live in a mountain sanctuary. Or maybe only if we're a good person. But inner peace is here now. We just forget to notice it when we rush through life.

This unique event combines gentle movement, acting techniques, and secular meditation to help participants slow down and find the peace within. Join us if you are tired of feeling:

  • Rushed
  • Over busy
  • Reactive to headlines; anxious about world events
  • Unsure or anxious about your life's purpose

Feeling rushed, anxious, and unsure is normal. But it's not required.

With inner peace, you have a precious anchor that holds you steady amid the storms of fast and frequent changes. We're living in a time of accelerated change, which is understandably confusing and difficult at times. But we can no longer wait around for the world to slow down or fix itself. Finding inner peace is what allows us to live according to our own inner tempo, so that the above problems transform into:

  • Feeling right on time
  • Focused on what you can do in the present
  • Clear and confident about your place in the multiverse

Created by a freelance nun who is also an actress, the workshop weaves together imagination, meditation, and gentle movement to guide you to find peace in your body, creating that inner calm and lightness. (Note: You won't be required to know anything about acting, perform, or even be on screen.)

We'll prioritize feeling and connecting with the body. If meditation has become a headgame or just another to-do on your list, you'll want to try this fresh approach.

And, in case you're wondering, inner peace isn't the same as passivity. It is active participation with life, but from a felt sense of calmness. Inner peace becomes the foundation for full-bodied aliveness. It's essential for living a big, bold, beautiful life!

Whether you're a beginner or have some experience with meditation and/or acting, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are and take you to new heights. Or should we say depths?

If you'd like to go through life with an inner poise and lightness, say yes to yourself and yes peace! We are here to practice and remember together:

Inner peace is possible.
And guess what? It's ready and waiting. For you.

This is me, Juniper McKelvie, the human on the right. Poppy the horse is a dear teacher who taught me more about inner peace than most meditation teachers.

With 25 years of practicing meditation and 10 years of teaching it, I've learned dozens of techniques, spent 15 months in an intensive, secular monastery, and wrote and produced guided meditations for +600,000 people on a secular mindfulness app (Lumosity) and I'm still learning! I learn so much from my students, including the fact that they don't need to meditate as much as me in order to get results.

I'm also an actor, writer, and I just finished a course in directing. I've acted in stage plays and readings, and short films. My full-length stage play, This Too Could Be Love, has been a semi-finalist in three nationwide competitions, and my short plays have been performed and read around the US. (Successes that came after I prioritized peace, hint hint.) Oh and I love horses!

I'm bringing together all my skills with storytelling and meditation to create transformative experiences in free workshops and through 1:1 coaching. Though my many passions may seem separate or random, they have all converged and I now move forward as a whole human!

My core insight is: listening to and loving your animal body paves the path to peace. Your body is the place of peace. It's simple really, but not always easy.
