Pauline's AFBS Leslie Yeo Award Party & Fundraiser

This year marks the 17th year for the AFBS Leslie Yeo Award for Volunteerism and I'm deeply humbled and grateful to have been nominated to receive the award. In accepting this award, I am honored to join so many amazing AFBS Members and past recipients whose stories of volunteerism and service to the local and international community have served as an inspiration to others. Over my lifetime, I have volunteered, raised money for, and worked for so many causes dear to my heart including Battered Women's Support Services, the Cancer Council, Breast Cancer Awareness, Alzheimer's BC, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Red Cross and Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, and in the last 9 years travelling abroad with organizations including Water Underground and FACE Africa, to get vital clean water, sanitation, menstrual health and health education to remote communities in places like Mozambique, Kenya and Liberia.

The amazing people at AFBS are generously supporting me to put on an event of my choosing (where they will present me with the award), so I've decided to throw a fun party with all proceeds from ticket sales, raffle entries and silent auction, towards getting more women and children in Liberia access to vital clean drinking water, sanitation and health education. I want this event to highlight the causes I'm most passionate about, with the people I love the most!!!

We will have performances from talented singer/actress, Natasha Burnett (When Calls the Heart), music by DJ Sam Chimes, and more performances to be announced.
