Paul James has received many music awards during his long career in the music business. He is winner of a Juno Award, multiple Toronto Music Awards, The Maple Blues Lifetime Achievement Award for Blues Music in Canada, the London Fire Hall Lifetime Achievement Award, and he has many more music awards to grace his mantle. However, winning the respect of his musical peers always rated more highly than winning any awards for Paul.
In his own words Paul describes his tribute to Bob Dylan:
This show kind of evolved over a 50 year period...lol... I've been an admirer of Bob Dylan's music ever since I was a young teenager. I identified with many of his songs and had included some of his acoustic songs in my solo Acoustic Blues performances and some of his eIectric songs in my Paul James Band shows. Serendipity - I met and played with Dylan for the first time in 1986 and have performed with him about 10 times over the last 36 years...
This show is in honour of Bob Dylan's 83rd birthday which takes place the week before. Happy Birthday Bob!
