About this Event

Martin is the Co-Founder and System Design Lead at @twopointsnet, a design studio based in Hamburg, Berlin and Barcelona, specializing in Flexible Visual Identities. In the last 10 years, they´ve worked with clients like Picasso Museum Barcelona, CCCB, Helsinki Design Lab, ADI-FAD, MIT, Harvard, National University of Singapore and Designmatters - Art Center College of Design.

He takes his expertise into education, serving as the System Design Tutor at @flexiblevisualsystems. Here, he leads initiatives encompassing a book and online courses to teach flexible visual systems. He also combines this with teaching at institutions like @elisavabcn and @graphic.elisava.

In addition to his work for education and research, Martin is also the co-founder of the design school Design Werkstatt, the event series The Inner Game of Design, and the art projects The One Weekend Book Series and Julien Martin.

For this session, Martin will talk about the main shifts we need to make in system design if we want to be prepared for a better future. Because in an ever-changing world, everything rigid will break. That is why we need to unlearn static approaches and learn to see, understand, and design flexible systems.
