Patterns and Space: design workshop at Artrise (6 yrs +)

This creative arts workshop for children explores positive and negative space, an important concept in art and design. Participants will use colored paper and simple shapes to create a project that supports their understanding of colour and shape (and also helps develop their cutting skills).

In Japan, this method is called "Notan" art, descibed as the play between light and dark.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​This session involves safely using scissors under supervision. All materials provided.

Recommended for participants aged 6 yrs plus. Grown-ups are encouraged to join in and get creative too! (please book a ticket)
