About this Event
What Virginia Schools Could Be: Pathways to Purpose and Prosperity
For decades, America’s college-for-all agenda has created a no-win choice for most high school graduates: take on the risk and expense of college or work a low-wage job. As technology and AI reshape the jobs market, educators and employers need to work together now to ensure students leave school future-ready: with real options, relevant skills, and clear pathways into the workforce. Even amid the current political turmoil and tech upheaval, we must come together to offer our kids purposeful paths, uniting educators and employers around the goal of prosperity for all.
Join us for a catalyzing evening bringing together educators, policymakers, business leaders, and students to explore a new vision for education in Virginia. We’ll use the documentary Multiple Choice as an inspiration for action. Through real-world examples and focused dialogue, we'll see how career-based learning, when aligned with community leadership and forward-thinking policy, can expand opportunity, develop robust talent pipelines, strengthen local economies, and prepare every student for a meaningful future. You'll leave with concrete next steps and connections to become part of a growing ecosystem of changemakers transforming education and workforce development in our state.
