Transitioning to and through adulthood shouldn't feel like navigating a map without a compass. The IDD Resource Summit is a place for families and self-advocates* to gather essential resources and connect with a community that prioritizes dignity and long-term well-being.
*Individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, including autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and more.
Join We Will Walk With You (WWWWY), Work Together NC, and the Tammy Lynn Center for an afternoon of practical workshops and networking.
What to Expect
- Expert-Led Breakouts: Targeted sessions on the logistics of transition.
- Resource Tables: Visit with our partners to gather specific information and materials.
- Light Refreshments: Served by the Pathfinders program at Wake Tech, a dedicated group of students with IDD gaining professional experience.
- Photo Booth: Capture the day and celebrate the journey with our interactive photo booth!

- Focus: Exploring inclusive post-secondary education and campus integration.

- Focus: Sourcing opportunities that validate the dignity of the job seeker.

- Focus: Building sustainable community connections, inclusive housing, adaptive sports, and peer mentorship.
- π³ Planning & Transition Tools
- Focus: Mastering the "logistics of life" after high school, including the Innovation Waiver, 1915i services, and the Tailored Plan.
- π³ Daily Living Skills
- Focus: Practical independence, self-advocacy, and health-focused programming.
