About this Event
Serving as a pastor might be one of the greatest privileges one can experience. It is a profound calling to partner with God, empowered by the Spirit, to do work that has an eternal impact on individuals, families, and entire communities. There are few things as rewarding as using your God-given gifts to teach His Word and shepherd His people.
However, those of us in church leadership also understand the significant challenges this role entails. Pastoral ministry can often feel isolating, exhausting, and thankless. Between the unique pressures of modern expectations and the discouragement that can arise from difficult circumstances within a congregation or staff, the demands are constant. We also recognize that there is a real spiritual enemy who opposes the work God has entrusted to us.
In the midst of these demands, our hope at Pray Chattanooga is that these pastor retreats will serve as intentional times for encouragement and refueling. Another goal is to provide a safe environment where pastors can process the joys and challenges of ministry with others who understand the journey. Most importantly, our prayer is that these retreats give opportunity for pastors' souls to be refreshed as they meet personally with the Lord.
