From Las Vegas, past self delivers a haunting blend of darkwave and shoegaze, with swirling guitars, distinct image, and a unique blend of Korean and English lyrics.The band’s signature sound, which they dub “K-Goth,” draws inspiration from The Cure, Molchat Doma, and Slowdive, creating music that’s cinematic, melancholic, and immersive.
Featuring Sung (Vocals/Guitar), aether (Keys), and Spektor (Bass), past self has quickly become a rising force in the wider goth scene.
They’ve shared the stage with Twin Tribes, French Police, Mareux, Drab Majesty, and Deceits, and appeared at major events including Substance San Antonio alongside Black Marble, Topographies, and Riki. With releases ranging from their debut album Bedrot, to the Korean-influenced Die Cry Hate, and their newest EP Premonitions, past self continues to evolve while remaining unmistakably dark, dreamy, and unforgettable.
