About this Event
Some concerts happen in a concert hall. This one happens inside a six-story, century-old piano factory - and that changes everything.
On June 28th, join pianist Daria Vasileva for an extraordinary evening at the historic Mason & Hamlin factory and showroom in Haverhill, MA - an intimate event celebrating the launch of her debut album Scriabin: Elements, released on the French label Aparté music.
Expect a passionate, mystical journey through some of Scriabin's most intense and otherworldly music: Sonatas No. 3, 5, and 8, alongside a selection of his preludes, waltzes, and poems - works that shimmer, erupt, and dissolve like the elements themselves.
About Daria Vasileva
Daria is a concert pianist, project author, and one of the most passionate Scriabin interpreters of her generation. A winner of the 2025 Young Swiss Artists Award, Second Prize and Special Scriabin Prize at the XXVI International Scriabin Competition in Italy, and a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne on a Swiss government grant, Daria has built a devoted following of over 80,000 people united by their love for classical music. When it comes to Scriabin, she doesn't just perform the music. She lives it.
About the Album - Scriabin: Elements
Recorded for the acclaimed French label Aparté music, Scriabin: Elements is Daria's debut recording - a program both eclectic and remarkably consistent, tracing the full arc of Scriabin's unique musical language through the lens of the four elements.
About the Venue - Mason & Hamlin Founded in Boston in 1854, Mason & Hamlin is one of America's oldest and most revered piano makers - the first choice of Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Liszt, and Rubinstein. Today, their historic six-story factory in Haverhill is one of the last places in the world where you can watch concert grands being built entirely by hand, floor by floor, using century-old techniques. The showroom is home to their flagship Virtuoso X Series instruments - pianos with Eastern White Spruce soundboards, 21-ply hard rock maple rims, and a warmth of tone unlike anything else made in America.
Optional: Factory Tour - 5:00 PM Arrive early and go behind the scenes. The guided factory tour takes you through all six floors of the building. Tour begins at 5:00 PM and runs approximately one hour, ending just in time for the concert. (Closed-toe shoes required. No wheelchair access. Stairs mandatory.)
🎟 Tickets include admission to the showroom concert. 🏭 Factory tour tickets are available as an add-on. 🎶 Scriabin: Elements will be available for purchase at the event.
