Time moves swiftly, marking the quiet rhythms of our days and the milestones of our lives. This spring, the Cantemus Women's Choir invites audiences to reflect on these moments in its 2026 Spring Concert, “Passage.”Under the artistic direction of Patricia Denmark, with Michelle Carpenter as Assistant Director and Ann Lavender as Collaborative Pianist, the choir will take listeners on a musical journey through the passage of time—from the shifting light of dawn to the golden hues of sunset, and through the stages of life itself. Each piece reflects the rhythms of day and life, capturing both the gentle glow of morning, the vibrant energy of midday, and the quiet reflection of evening.
Audiences can expect an evocative program of choral works that spans centuries and styles—from Rheinberger’s serene and lyrical Abenlied, which captures the gentle glow of evening, to Bob Dylan’s iconic The Times They Are A-Changin’, a stirring reflection on life’s inevitable transformations. The choir’s signature blend of rich harmonies, expressive phrasing, and emotional depth mirrors the changing light of a day and the passage of a lifetime, offering
both contemplation and celebration in equal measure.
Please join us for this evening of uplifting music! Cantemus Women’s Choir continues its tradition of artistic excellence, bringing the beauty and power of women’s voices to our Tri-
Cities community. The concert is free, with a suggested donation of $15. Further information is available through Cantemus Women’s Choir’s website and social media channels.
