This Summit focuses on Complimentary Food Systems. Attendees will learn about how Big Agriculture and Small Farms can work together to sustain our local population. We will have a panel discussion with local farm representatives to learn about their experiences, capacity, and challenges faced. Then we will hear from Stephen Gran and Simon Bollin of Hillsborough County UF/IFAS Extension, who will discuss the state of Hillsborough County Agriculture on multiple levels.
Lunch will be provided by Fat Beet Farm Kitchen, featuring their freshly picked produce!
After lunch, a tour will be provided to learn about Fat Beet Farm, including how they grow their food and manage waste.
We encourage attendees to join us for a Happy Hour at Tampa Bay Brewing Co. after the conclusion of the Summit (13937 Monroes Business Park Tampa, FL 33635).
