ABOUT THE FILM:
‘PARTLY SUNNY’ is about two women, best friends, who car camp their way along the Norwegian coastline. It is a relaxed adventure, with lots of hiking, side quests and giggles, while enjoying time in nature.
Slow cinema best highlights the style of our shared adventures. Those moments between tough hikes bring me the most joy and satisfaction.
I’ve seen many adventure films, and all hail impressive feats and hardened adventurers. I respect that. But I want to create a film that commemorates spending time outdoors with the people I love and doing the things I enjoy. Yes, we do hard things too, but always opt for a cinnamon bun after.
‘PARTLY SUNNY’ celebrates female friendship in the wild, with all the strength and playfulness that comes with it.

Soninke Combrinck is a South African living in Switzerland. She writes stories and creates films to capture the wild places she visits. Since moving to Switzerland in early 2020, she has solo-hiked her way through the Swiss Alps.
