$Participatory Concert - \u201cBack To Sabine\u201d at Metronomen$

It is happening again at Metronomen! The 4th Participatory Concert this year, an open concert project about process, transformation and collaboration! A shared experience created to be supportive of each our personal creative and emotional processes.
The event takes place over 3 hours, with a soft arrival to get comfortable and then a guided tuning-in to the body so we can prepare the whole body for listening. My songs are composed as a flow of free emotional expression and has moments of improvisation. I will be sharing about my ideas and my work and my methods in between performing music pieces. I will sometimes ask you to sing along or to do a participatory exercise/experiment with me if I feel there is the curiosity for it.
When I was 19-21 I wrote songs by the piano to understand all the things I felt so deeply, to make sense of loneliness and what it was that I was fighting for. I wrote my songs without any knowledge of how to write or how to compose, followed the feelings; writing for myself and no one else.
I did share my songs a few times, but as some point it became too difficult to connect with them and I put them on the shelf for years, moved to Berlin and did education in contemporary dance and in Alexander Technique, came back to Copenhagen and worked with kids with disabilities, danced a lot, also taught dance and performed a bit.. I forgot about my songs.. But after more than ten years as I was listening to the old recordings, I noticed that the themes in the songs were still relevant and would always be relevant. I noticed I still loved the songs. I needed to find my way back to them; give them new life and meet them with a new maturity, skill and courage. That is the work I have been doing for the past 2 years, it is slow work, relearning the songs and recomposing them so they are honest to who I am today, with my 34 years, and I intend to let the songs stay with me and develop/grow in all the different ways that I will grow too.
In my projects I am often occupied with questions around care, emotions, process and what it means to grow in healthy ways as humans.
Event info:
- There will be space for about 35 people and this is an acoustic event.
- Entrance is 145 kr for regular income and 90 kr. for low income. MobilePay at the door.
- Bring what you need to feel comfortable, a notebook, pen, water, etc
- There will be soft places to sit, easy snacks and tea served at the event free of charge
