Meeting Point: Birchall Playing Fields - running track, Leek. ST13 5RE Grid Ref: SJ 98617 55093We meet by the hut on the running track (Look for the parkwalk flag and parkwalk volunteers (blue high Viz) for the first timers and event briefing.
Info: Everyone’s welcome at parkwalk. Everyone starts at the same time and walks the same 5k parkrun route, alongside runners and volunteers. It’s free, fun, and a great way to stay active at your own pace. At parkwalk there's no pressure to run, it's fine to go at whatever speed you want - there's no time limit and every event has a volunteer tail walker who's always last to finish. Come and join us and start walking your way to a healthier you along with our parkwalk volunteers.
There are short sections of grass which can get muddy in wet weather but the course is mainly level and flat and accessible to suitable buggies/ wheel chairs. Marshalls are visible around the course at all times and Parkwalk volunteers walk the event along with participants. Defib is always onsite.
Booking: Click ticket link. All participants need to register with parkrun (just once) and bring their barcode with them to every event - printed or electronic. This barcode is scanned at the end of every event along with a finish token (that's handed back in to the volunteer team after scanning). https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/
