Parks and Woodland Cycle Ride from Peckham

10am start. Peckham Square, next to Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse Leisure Centre. Bruce leading a 10 mile, flat ride. Start down to Burgess Park then back streets to Cycleway 4 at St James Rd. Short stretch to Southwark Park then ride round the park and cross along new path to Canada Water. Coffee stop at Corner Corner. Next to Thames Path at Brunel Tunnel Museum. Along to Surrey Water then up to Stave Hill. Warm up by running up Stave Hill then bike through Russia Woodland to Greenland Dock. On via South Dock to Cycleway 4 on Evelyn St . Use crossing to access Deptford Park then through new development (Neptune Wharf) to corner of Folkstone Gardens and up Surrey Canal Road to Bridgehouse Meadows. New cycle lane and crossing to Brimmington Park then back streets to Peclkham Square. Lots to see, no tricky crossings. Get 2026 started with this relaxed social ride. Forecast for Saturday is dry and sunny but ONLY 1 DEGREE – very cold. Dress appropriately, some guidelines here. Over Friday night temperatures are forecast to fall below zero so there is a risk of ice, especially if it rains on Friday. The route chosen should have low risk of ice, but be careful travelling to the start.

Riders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Same for “adults at risk”.
