Take 3 for the Trail and help us clean up the Aintree Reserve parkrun course. Saturday March 1st is the weekend of Clean Up Australia Day, and we are hosting a clean up as part of Aintree Reserve parkrun. Come down to parkrun, as per usual, but join in some Plogging (Picking up Litter while Jogging) or Plwalking (Picking up Litter while Walking).
parkrun is a free 5km walk/run which starts every Saturday at 8am at Aintree Reserve (7:45am briefing). On March 1st We Love Aintree will be providing bags, gloves, and bins for anyone who wants to pick up rubbish along the path while participating in parkrun. If 80 people come and pick up 3 pieces of rubbish each, we will go a long way to cleaning up the entire trail!
You don’t need to carry it the whole 5km, drop it in a bin along the way. And if you’re aiming to run a 5k PB, you don’t have to join in — this is absolutely optional for parkrunners. It’s simply for anyone who is taking parkrun fairly leisurely and wants to join in cleaning up along trail by our creek & wetlands.
