Park Yourself and Paint

Enjoy two weeks surrounded by beautiful greenery at Belmore Park and recieve an introduction to plein air oil painting with Education Officer, Samantha Wiltshire.

Two sessions to occur on Friday 9th May 10am-1pm and Friday 16th May 10am-1pm. Work from session 1 will lay the foundation for and carry over into session 2.

During this two week course you will learn how to safely use and maintain your oil painting materials both generally and when working outside, and you will produce your first small oil landscape from life. If you've ever experimented with oil paint and struggled then this is the course for you!

Open to all regardless of skill level or style. This course is appropriate for adults and teens aged 16+. All oil painting materials will be provided for participants by Goulburn Reginal Art Gallery incluidng fold out stools and portable easels.

Our meeting point each week will be the fountain at Belmore Park. Please come wearing enclosed shoes and with appropraite sun protection.

Participants will be required to take their painting home after the first session and bring it back with them to continue working the next week, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery is not able to store wet oil paintings between sessions.

Sessions may be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date in the event of severe weather. In the event of rescheduling participants will be offered the opportunity to recieve a refund if they can no longer attend.
