Megalo Print Studio is a not-for-profit, community access printmaking studio based on Ngunnawal Ngambri Country in Canberra. One of the only studios in Australia to provide access to screen printing, lithography, intaglio, relief printing, and photogravure, Megalo offers a dynamic space where artists of all levels can explore and create.
Established in 1980 , the studio was founded by artists, including political activist Alison Alder and Colin Little, in response to the high youth unemployment crisis in Canberra at the time. Driven by a vision of collective making and accessible printmaking, Megalo has evolved into a leading centre for artistic development, supporting both emerging and established artists through workshops, residencies, fine art editions, and collaborative projects. With a strong commitment to community engagement, Megalo runs outreach programs to make printmaking accessible to broader audiences.
This course is for adults and teenagers aged 16+. All required materials will be provided by Goulburn Regional Art Gallery and Megalo Print Studio. This course is appropriate for artists of all ability levels.
