The Throsby Big Brunch saw over 100 locals of the Throsby villages of Carrington, Islington, Wickham, Maryville and Tighes Hill converge in Islington Park to share food and conversation this October, successfully reviving what was an annual community gathering hosted for 10 consecutive years until 2019 by the Throsby Village Alliance.Climate Ready Newcastle invites anyone who attend the TBB revival or who resides in the Throsby villages to meet again in Islington Park to reconnect and learn how you can get involved with Climate Ready Newcastle in the new year.

We'll get to know each other and discuss how we can build a mutual-aid network of neighbours and cultivate climate resilience in the Throsby Creek suburbs.
We are eager to hear your thoughts, reflections, experiences and needs when it comes to taking action to get climate ready and hope to see you in the park Sunday November 23rd from 4:30pm- 6pm.
We'll provide a light BBQ but feel welcome to BYO food or food to share if you like.
