Invitation to Stand in Support of Iran – Paris, June 20, 2026
Why are we going to Paris on June 20?
Dear friends,
In 1979, when the dictator Khomeini came to power, he declared himself God’s representative on earth.
In the name of this, he began silencing an entire nation, persecuting religious minorities such as Christians and Baha’is, as well as Muslims, intellectuals, students, women and anyone who dared to think differently.
On June 20, 1981, hundreds of thousands of Iranians, many of them young students, took to the streets in peaceful protest.
They came with empty hands. They demanded nothing more than freedom and basic human rights.
They were met with bullets.
That day, the regime showed its true nature by opening fire on unarmed people. Many were killed. Thousands were arrested. Countless people were executed.
And that day 20 of June 1981 became a turning point.
The day a nation understood a painful truth:
freedom is not given, it must be fought for.
For over 47 years, this resistance has continued, with more than 120,000 lives sacrificed.
Since then, the Iranian people have risen again and again.
Most recently on December 28, 2025, when courage once again filled the streets.
Young people, with empty hands, stood before armed forces.
A generation that has known nothing but control since birth, told how to dress, how to think, what to believe, and how to live.
And still, they rise and try to speak. Because when everything has been taken from you, there is nothing left to fear.
If we put ourselves in their place for just a moment:
What would you do if your desire for freedom, dignity, and a life without fear was met with bullets aimed at your head and chest?
What would you do if executions were used to silence you?
If the internet was shut down so no one outside Iran could hear your cries for help?
This is not history. This is happening right now.
The Iranian people are surrounded by injustice on all sides:
bullets for those who protest, executions for those who resist and refuse to surrender their will for change, and the shadow of war hanging over them.
This is not just repression. This is a nation under attack.
So why are we going to Paris?
Because humanity has no borders or nationality.
Because freedom is not a privilege, it is a right.
Because the pain of one nation is not separate from another.
We are going to be the voice of those who cannot speak.
To stand for the youth 18, 19, 20 years old, waiting on death row.

Will this event also stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people?
Yes. We will have Ukrainian speakers at our event.
Ukraine is experiencing war, and the Iranian regime is involved by supplying drones.
The Ukrainian people once lived in peace. In a moment, their lives were shattered by war.
Today, both Iranians and Ukrainians are under attack, under missile strikes. We are victims of the same violence and the same disregard for human life.
We live with the same fear. Will the next phone call bring the worst news?
We may physically be in Europe, but our hearts know no peace. Our families, our cities, our people remain in danger.
We had a choice:
to turn away, stay silent, and build a quiet life far from all this or to rise, resist, and become the voice of those who are unheard.
We chose to rise. We chose to speak. And we will continue, no matter the cost.
This is an ongoing struggle. Until victory.
And victory will come because we can and we must reclaim our future, our freedom, and our homeland.
See you in Paris
