Are you a parent? Do you need to have some time off and get some laughs? Well, this is the show for you!About this Event
On May 16, five seriously funny comedians—who also happen to be parents—are taking the stage for a night of stand-up that pulls no punches (except the soft-play kind).
Whether you are a parent or just have them to blame for your personality, this show is for you.
Mums, dads: book a babysitter. Or don’t—flip a coin and send the winner out for a night of laughs while the loser stays home negotiating bedtime like it’s a hostage situation.
Expect brutally honest stories, questionable life choices, and the kind of comedy that only comes from surviving parenthood.
Doors: 20h30, show starts 21h.
Show ends at 23h so you can get back to your little monsters.
5 parents. 1 stage. Zero filters.
Come laugh it off—you’ve earned it.
Tickets Online: 12 euros (all cards accepted)
Tickets at the Door: 20 euros (cash or card)
The Comedians
After performing all over the US for over two decades Dan Burt brings his unique outlook on life to Portugal. Dan's stand up covers everything from marriage to having a kid to mental health, oh and a fantastic cat impression. Come see the comedy that got him an audition for Saturday Night Live.
Shalini left a thriving career as a tech executive to become an entrepreneur and she has very recently started doing comedy too. Because why do white people get to make all the bad decisions.
Clinton is a stand-up comedian originally from Houston, TX. He started performing in New York City and spent the last 11 years in Geneva, Switzerland where he founded Geneva Stand-Up Comedy and ran a monthly open mic night. He can now be found performing in Lisbon and other stages around Europe. When Clinton is not on stage, you can find him reading stuff on the internet or doing miscellaneous dad things. You can follow him on Instagram @cstar1201.
Gareth was one of the early adopters of Lisbon when it wasn’t cool. Now Lisbon is too cool for Gareth. He has two kids both born here, and enjoys the many daily struggles of being an expat dad, answering questions like, “dad, why do we live here?”. In his spare time he enjoys trying to figure out what the fuck happened to his life.
RiK MG is a surprising contender for the UK's Father of the Year contest 2026, and it doesn’t take long to see why. His razor-sharp, slightly unhinged take on raising two girls turns everyday parenting into a series of brilliantly told misadventures. You’ll find yourself laughing, wincing, and quietly impressed that his kids haven’t filed for emancipation yet.
The venue (Selva Comedy Cafe) will serve craft beer, wine, cocktails (espresso martini, g&t, lisbon mule, etc.), Why Not organic sodas, kombucha, and some light snacks!
