Parent & Toddler Workshop
Jackie Nickerson: STATESIDE
Tuesday 14th April
Join artist Caoimhe O’Dwyer for a playful and creative workshop designed especially for parents and toddlers. Together, you’ll explore Jackie Nickerson’s exhibition - STATESIDE in the Lower Gallery whose photography focuses on people, places and locations and in her words “the details of life..”
After a short, family-friendly visit of the exhibition, Caoimhe will lead a relaxed, hands-on workshop designed especially for parents and toddlers. Together, you’ll create your own simple visual stories inspired by accordion books and zines using collage, sticking, mono-printing, and stamping.
Through easy, tactile activities, families can explore shapes, textures, and colours while making unique artworks that reflect little moments from everyday life. This playful session encourages creativity, bonding, and lots of messy fun for both grown-ups and little ones.
This gentle, hands-on session is a lovely first step into the world of art for little ones, encouraging curiosity, imagination, and shared creativity and bonding between parent and child in the welcoming setting of the Highlanes Gallery.
