Shepton Mallet Prison, located in Somerset, England, is a historic former Category C lifer prison that operated for 400 years from 1625 until its closure in 2013. Known as the UK's oldest working prison, it housed notorious criminals including the Kray Twins and served as a military detention centre during World War 2 before becoming a tourist attraction.
The prison is also known to be one of the most haunted prisons in the World, with paranormal investigators exploring the haunt from all over the globe.
We have visited this very creepy and dark site on numerous occasions and each time has been 'absolutely phenomenal', with the sound of whispers, footsteps and things being thrown at just during a vigil. We just can't wait to go back!

Paul, coming from an experienced background within this genre; joined Dale a decade ago and their wonderful friendship contributed to doing many investigations together. Also joined by a very experienced team - of which all aren't huge advocates for equipment as the belief that your own senses and feelings are the best 'tool' to have! Overall, the experiences gained are truly memorable.
