Papercutting is a meticulous and rewarding craft that transforms a simple sheet of paper into a delicate work of art. By carefully removing sections with specialized blades or fine-tipped scissors, you create intricate patterns where light and shadow define the image. This ancient technique, found in cultures worldwide, ranges from bold folk art to incredibly detailed contemporary designs, offering a unique way to explore negative space and precision.
In our upcoming workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of this craft, from blade safety and pressure control to mastering complex cutouts. All materials will be supplied, including cutting mats, precision craft knives, and high-quality papers. Please note that this class is for adults aged 18 and over due to the use of sharp tools.
