Paper Pets Collage Workshop with Sally Hunter
Join us and expert paper tutor Sally Hunter for another chance to enshrine your pooch or kitty in paper collage, and create a pet portrait of your favourite furry friend to keep forever.
This workshop is all about your best furry friend or pampered pet. Whether you are a dog person, a cat person (or you love your lizard or budgie) Sally will immerse you in the relaxing and mindful art of collage to create a beautiful and unique likeness of your pet pal. Just look at the likenesses produced in her previous workshops!
Creating art with paper is fun and accessible to everyone, whether you consider yourself to be an artist or not. Anyone can create amazing results which are one of a kind. With Sally’s help, you will choose colours and textures from magazines and Sally will guide you to make your own unique artwork for framing and display. Join her in a relaxed and friendly environment and you’ll make an artwork you will be proud of!
Sally is a local artist who has recently moved to Ware. She has worked in Art related environments in London for many years and now focuses on running collage workshops locally.
Sally started out making portraits of pets and now also creates people, botanicals and landscapes – there are no limits as to what you can make with collage!
All you need to bring to the workshop is your chosen image of your pet, either printed out or on your phone or tablet. If you are unsure what to collage, bring a few suggestions and she can help you choose.
All other tools and materials are provided.
Your finished piece will be A3 in size and you have the option to purchase the workshop on its own or buy an additional ticket for a mount on its own or a frame and mount, to take your piece home in for instant display. Mounts and frames are charged at cost, which is £3.50 for a mount or £17.50 for a frame. Just click how many you would like at checkout.
Additional Information:
The workshop is being run with a maximum capacity of 10 and will run for 3 hours on Saturday 9th May from 6.30pm – 9.30pm at a cost of £35 per head to include a glass of fizz to help get your creativity flowing.
The session will be held in our South Cowl which has lift access.
We offer a host of workshops for adults and children in many different creative mediums, including in willow weaving, mosaic, painting, drawing, macramé, stained glass and more. Check our website for further details.
