Workshop Description
Paper Embroidery: This introduction to embroidery on paper will teach a variety of stitches: running stitch and variations, couching, cross stitch and variations, feather stitch and variations, blanket stitch, french, Chinese and colonial knots and daisy or chain stitch for paper. Also an added bonus of paper piercing will be shown!
Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The break down is as follows:

About Dorothy Yuki
A diverse, eclectic Bay Area artist, Dorothy Yuki works in calligraphy, bookmaking, mail-art, and sketching; with fabric, metal, cut paper, pen & ink, and even repurposed materials. In her roles of artist, teacher and mentor, she is a very active participant in her community. Dorothy has shown her work at MMOCA’s Altered Book Show, Kalligraphia at the San Francisco Main Library, Ruth’s Table Retrospective, and at Arc for Scrap-SF.
