About this Event
This educational event introduces children to elements of Japanese culture through hands-on art activities and storytelling. For ages 5-11!
This event is free but registration is required in advance.
Japan celebrates its cherry blossom festivals from late March to early April in major cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Come fold your own origami cherry blossoms and finish with embellishments of your choice. Participants will also have the opportunity to create their own paper kimonos – first by following a template and then completely designing one of their own! Between activity stations, children can listen to a unique story read in the gallery and ask questions.
All materials are provided but be sure to bring your imagination!
