Paola Marquez, a Colombian singer living in Gent, brings her graceful and powerful voice to interpret South American themes from her repertoire. She has a vast collection of songs from Colombian traditional to Samba and Bossa nova. She has is well known for her cumbia performances with her band Maguaré, which provides her the ability to sing very rhythmical songs, as well as emotional ballads.
Victor da Costa is a guitar player from Brasil living in Brussels for more than 20 years. He is one of the strongest voices of the Brazilian samba and bossa nova. Besides his Brazilian music projects, Victor is very present in the Brussels Jazz Scene and the ability to combine the Brazilian roots with the jazz language makes is guitar voice quite unique.
On the double bass, Rui Salgado will provide the base for these two lyrical artists. Sharing his musical activity between Traditional Bossa, Samba, Fado and jazz, he will navigate the south American songs providing the necessary heartbeat on his double bass.
